In a nutshell
Fundraising ideas: eco-friendly shopping bags in a range of colours, packaged to look like cakes and milkshakes
Suitable for: all groups – perfect for Mothers’ Day, Christmas and Easter stalls
Profit: 35% or $1.75 per bag
A new product from Australian Fundraising available in 2015, these eco bags come in a range of fun colours, and are packaged to look like cupcakes, milkshakes and slices of cake.
The bags come pre-packed in boxes of ten, with a range of small, medium and large bags. It is recommended that each student be allocated one box of ten bags to sell. Each carry pack is actually an eco-bag that sellers are allowed to keep after they have sold their kit. Allow 2-3 weeks for participants to sell their bags.
Costs and Profits
Each bag costs $3.25 to purchase and is sold for a RRP of $5.00. This is a 35% or $1.75 profit per bag, and $17.50 per box of ten.
A school with 150 students who each sell a box of ten cake eco bags will make a profit of $2,625.
The fundraising process
For most groups (schools, registered sporting clubs, early childhood centres and other approved groups) no money is required up front, and the school/club will have 28 days to pay from the date of the invoice.
There is a minimum order of 20 carry packs (ie 200 bags) (cost $650, sell $1,000 = profit @$350) and there is free freight to most areas within Australia.
Any unsold stock (over ten carry packs) can be returned to the company for a refund (you must pay postage costs to Queensland), and refunds will only be processed in multiple of ten carry packs.
You will be provided with a full promotional kit including information for the co-ordinator, letters to be sent to parents, posters and a tally system.
