Calling all schools, sports clubs, youth & community groups and pre-schools. Applications are now open for one of ten $1,000 grants to create a garden space at your place.
These 10 grants are a combined effort between Life Education and Yates® Gardening, and are open to a range of groups across Australia. The goal is to create a garden space where kids can learn healthy habits and improve their physical and mental well-being.
What is on offer?
Ten $1,000 grants which can be spent on a variety of garden components including plants, garden beds, chicken coops, water storage, seating and paving.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any school (kindergarten, pre-school, primary and high), childcare centre, or youth/community group such as sports or Scouts.
You must intend to use the money to educate children about gardening and healthy living.
What are the criteria for applications?
Applications are judged on a number of criteria including the quality of the design, promotion of healthy living, student involvement, community involvement, feasibility and realistic budget. Check the website to see the full criteria and how applications will be assessed.
When do applications need to be in?
Applications open on 7th May, 2019 and close on Monday 17th June 2019.
