EcoSwitch is an innovative product that plugs into your appliances – and when you turn off its giant green button, you turn off all the standby power of any appliance it is attached to, potentially saving in excess of $100 per year per appliance or up to 10% of your quarterly power bill.
It can used for standalone or groups of appliances, requires no programming, can be used with existing power-boards and has a flat plug that allows furniture to sit close to the wall. The EcoSwitch not only saves money but also offers practical and easy access due to its long cords. Double sided tape and clips are also provided to keep cords tidy.

RRP for EcoSwitch is $19.95.
There are a number of different plans available for fundraisers – the main point of difference being whether you pre-purchase the products and on-sell them, or if you take orders.
There is a minimum order of 14 units, and the more EcoSwitches that are purchased, the greater the profit for the fundraising group.
The most profitable plan is to pre-purchase 70+ units for $13 each, and sell them for a $6.95 profit, however this requires your school or group to have a minimum of $910 upfront, and it also has the increased risk if you unable to sell all the units.
A less profitable but safer option is taking orders in advance and asking customers to pay EcoSwitch direct ($3.95 profit per unit). There are also other options that sit between these two plans.
Sales process
The EcoSwitch is a great option for groups looking for an alternative fundraiser to the usual cake stalls and chocolate drives. It can be tied into school environmental campaigns and is easy to sell because everyone wants to save money. Kids in particular can get quite enthusiastic about saving the planet and putting the hard word on adults.
There are many selling points including the sustainability and environmentally arguments, plus the fact they are easy to install and use, and they save money.
From the fundraiser perspective, people often buy more than one unit – as they have multiple televisions, stereos or computers in their house. Three units is the average sell.
Having the units upfront not only increases profitability but is allows you to demonstrate them, and customers can take them immediately.
