Sizzler cheese toast is an Aussie institution, and there’s good news for some lucky schools and clubs in Queensland, Sydney and Perth: you might be eligible for a fully sponsored cheese toast stall at your next fete or fundraiser.
Sponsorship from Sizzler
Sizzler likes to be actively involved in the local community and does this by providing financial assistance to as many organisations as possible. They also offer this assistance in perhaps one of the most unique ways possible – they will set up a special pop-up cheese toast stall – supplying all the staff, equipment and ingredients – and then will sell the toast at your event for a gold coin donation. At the end of the event – your fundraising group gets all the gold coins. So far, the Sizzler pop-up stalls have been at school fetes, festivals, fairs, family fun days, registration days for sporting clubs as well as a variety of community and charity events. At a twilight fete in 2018, my daughters’ small school (300 students) earned over $800 from Sizzler selling cheese toast at the event.
Who is eligible?
While this is unfortunately not a national program, Sizzler will consider sharing share this great fundraising program with schools, events and sporting clubs that are local to their 13 restaurants across Australia (QLD, Sydney & Perth).
Each stall is approved on a case by case basis, but it is essential that the event or school is local to a Sizzler restaurant.
What else can Sizzler offer?
In some cases Sizzler may be able to offer a cash donation in addition to the Cheese Toast stall, and there is a range of merchandise such as water bottles and special achievement awards for schools and sporting clubs which may available, as well as vouchers for ‘breakfast for two’ which can be used for raffles or prizes.
Sizzler Pop-up Stalls in the Community
In Perth recently, Sizzler pop-ups have been involved in Maylands Street Festival, as sponsors of the Rise Kids Zone. The Cheese Toast stall at this event raised $550 for The Shopfront charity. In 2017, the Innaloo restaurant was involved in the Mt Hawthorn Community Fair and raised $590 for Mt Hawthorn Primary School, while one of the Queensland restaurants was a major sponsor for the Caboolture Family Fun Day and the Cheese Toast Stall raised $1100 for Moreton Bay Just Dance Group.
